One year-intermittent contract estimated to start July 14, 2025 through October 11, 2025, with up to four additional 1-year option periods, exercisable at the unilateral option of the Peace Corps based on satisfactory performance, continued need for the position, and availability of funds. Requires a minimum working schedule of 40-48 hours per week during Pre-Service Training (10 weeks of pre-service training plus initial training-of-trainers). The LCF may work during other training events throughout the contract period as needed (e.g., In-Service Training, Mid-Service Training, etc.).

LCFs live and work closely with a small group of American Peace Corps Trainees throughout Pre-Service Training. LCFs conduct Khmer language classes and help small groups of 6-7 and learn Cambodian culture and the skills needed to live in Cambodia. They must follow a prescribed curriculum and effectively use a variety of language training techniques and methodologies. LCFs serve as a prime bridge between the Trainees and their host families and training communities. LCFs also participate in the evaluation of the language training program.

REPORTING

The LCF operates under the direct guidance and supervision of the Language and Cross-Cultural Coordinator (LCC) under the ultimate supervision of the Training Manager
